Family Access and Multiple Guardians
More than one guardian can share access to the same student's member record — this covers approving a new guardian's request to join, what happens when a cash-only family's first parent signs up, and separating access later if needed.
Where to find it: Membership & User Setup card → Manage Users — the Family Access Requests banner appears at the top of the list when there's something pending; Unlink appears on a row that has multiple linked accounts.
Who can use this: Club Admins, and board members granted Manage Members.

What you can do here
Approve or deny a family access request
When someone signs up and their student's name matches an existing family in your club (a second parent, or a parent signing up for a family that was previously added cash-only), a request to link to that family is filed automatically — the parent doesn't click anything to request it. Every officer who can manage members gets emailed as soon as that happens, with a link straight to this page. Review the request in the banner and Approve or Deny — approving takes one click and immediately emails the requester a link to set up their own login.
Claiming a cash-only family's first login
If the family was added with no login (a cash/check payment, no email on file), the parent claiming that approved request is asked for their name and becomes the family's primary contact — their name and email replace whatever was on file before (often just the student's name, since that's all that was known at the time). The student stays exactly where they were, in the family's Students list. This only happens the first time a cash-only family gets a login; a second parent linking after that is added as an additional guardian the normal way.
Unlink a shared account
A row with multiple guardians shows an "N linked accounts" badge. Click Unlink on that row to remove just that one login's access to the family — the student's member record and the other guardian's access are unaffected.
Common questions
Does unlinking delete the guardian's account? No — it only removes their access to this particular family's record. Their login still exists.
Does adding a second guardian change who dues are billed to? No — dues and fees stay assigned to the one member record regardless of how many guardians can see it.
A cash-only family's parent signed up — why does the member's name look different now? That's expected. Claiming a cash-only family's first login replaces the placeholder name/email (often the student's own name) with the parent's real name and email — see Claiming a cash-only family's first login above.
